HOW IS HOPE DIFFERENT?

• We are the largest Christian community foundation in the United States.
• We have a Christian focused vision for the city of Memphis and strive to support and serve the many Christian ministries making a difference in the city.
• We give away all surplus earnings and fees on new donor advised funds through our Hope for Memphis Fund.
• We emphasize giving & not building an endowment.
• We focus on the concept of "Strategic Christian Giving" which seeks effectiveness in areas of greatest need through support of Christian ministries
• Approxinately 75% of our donors' giving has gone to support Memphis based, Christian ministries
• We are pro-actively implementing our vision by networking with ministries and donors and by direct financial support from our surplus funds.
• We seek to connect, motivate and mobilize donors and others to give their time to serve in ministry through our efforts to promote and develop servant leadership and our through our annual Servant Leader Awards.
• Through our State of the City Reports research, we attempt to educate, inform and raise the awareness of important issues with our donors and others in the City.
